Training, Workshops & Events

I’m an experienced facilitator of training, workshops and events over many years, both in the psychotherapy field and in my previous career in communications. I’d be delighted to hear from you if you’re keen to explore ways in which I can help design and/or deliver training or workshops for your organisation or team, whether you’re in the psychotherapy field or beyond. I have particular expertise in areas such as bereavement, grief and loss; women’s mental health; anxiety; and self-compassion/self-esteem. I am particularly skilled at working with small to mid-size groups of up to 20 participants.

My wide-ranging experience includes:

  • Co-facilitating a creative whole group exercise for the UKAGP Day of Connection to identify members’ priorities (June 2023)

  • Designing and facilitating the Patient Perspective session for St George’s Hospital medical students which combined teaching about hospice care and facilitating dialogue with palliative care patients as part of my role as senior counsellor at Royal Trinity Hospice (from 2018-2022)

  • Co-facilitating the Gestalt Centre’s 10-week Personal Development group (January to March 2020)

  • Delivering Cruse Bereavement Care’s public-facing course in supporting bereaved people (2017-18)

  • Designing and co-facilitating a comprehensive skills programme for peer support volunteers in my role as the project manager for the Bereaved through Alcohol and Drugs project for Cruse Bereavement Care (2016)

  • Organising a diverse range of events in my career as a communications professional in central government such as a round-table discussion with the Prime Minister for young people in the care system and a networking and training event for local criminal justice professionals to share national good practice
